Connectra designed and delivered a premium 7-day gorilla trekking experience for international visitors exploring the magnificent Volcanoes National Park in Rwanda. The Experience

Each tour begins with a warm airport welcome at Kigali International Airport, where our professionally trained guides greet guests with personalized itineraries and refreshments. Guests are then transported in our luxury 4x4 vehicles to carefully selected lodges in Musanze, the gateway to Volcanoes National Park. The journey itself is curated as an experience — with stops at scenic viewpoints, local markets, and the Genocide Memorial in Kigali.

The core trekking experience spans two full days in the bamboo forests of the Virungas, where guests are led by certified ORTPN guides to encounter mountain gorilla families in their natural habitat. Our groups are kept small (maximum 8 guests) to ensure an intimate and respectful wildlife encounter. Pre-trek briefings, safety equipment, and porter assistance are all included.

Cultural Immersion

Beyond the gorillas, our package includes visits to the Iby'Iwacu Cultural Village, where guests participate in traditional Intore dance performances, learn about ancient Rwandan customs, try their hand at traditional crafts like basket weaving and pottery, and share stories with community elders. We also arrange visits to the Dian Fossey Gorilla Fund's research center, offering guests fascinating insights into gorilla conservation efforts.
